That is not correct. ExoPlayer is not a simple wrapper on top of
MediaPlayer. In fact, ExoPlayer does not use MediaPlayer at all. It
uses the codec layer from the OS, but ExoPlayer is taking care of all
the networking, streaming, demuxing and synchronization aspects.
