Do you have a firewall enabled? If so, this will prevent
dLeyna-renderer and dLeyna-server from discovering remote devices.
You could also check the configuration file
~/.config/dleyna-renderer-service.conf
and make sure
netf-enabled=false
Nope, no firewall, and my other Control Point (BubbleUPNP on
Android
Phone) does work and see this renderer. netf is set to false as well.

There are other properties but they will only be accessible via
dLeyna-renderer if they are set by the renderer itself. For example,
xesam:title
xesam:album
If you're not seeing the properties, I guess they're not set by the
renderer.
Hm, in my control point I do see all the title and album information.

Right but this is running on another device. Try installing another
upnp client, such as gupnp-av-cp on your linux pc.

Hm, in my control point I do see all the title and album information.
I'm guessing it is getting this information from your media server and
not the renderer. You should be able to see this information using
dLeyna-server.

After a restart of my Laptop,
the renderer is now recognized. So this
does not seem to be a problem anymore, even though I am quite interested
in why the renderer was not recognized initially.

So, I guess, all the information is in the events. Probably d-feet does
not update the events? Unsure, I am going to try to query the dbus via

Hi again,
could be, that I misunderstand UPnP, but at least I do see, that the
renderer is updating the control point as well as other listening
devices via events with the already sent informations. So I do wander,
why dleyna-renderer is not showing me this information. I have now
programmed some short dbus queries in python and there the same
information like in d-feet is shown, which is basically just the url to
the song, but not other useful information like e.g. the Artist or the
Title.
Could it be, that the renderer is just not mapping this information?
Furthermore, it looks like the renderer is not updating this information
on events of upnp, but just on starting the dbus service. Am I doing
something wrong here?
