Would you say that upgrading from 3.17.8 to 4.0 will give us
advantages from a Lustre perspective?
Well, you'd get a bunch of bugfixes for bugs that I imagine you are not hitting yet
;)
I cannot easily cross-reference against 3.17.8, but there are about 50 patches with fixes
backported from our lustre tree between 3.17 and 4.0
