I did 2.4.2 with Mellanox OFED 2.1. It's a PITA as you have to rebuild
lustre-client-modules to get ko2iblnd.ko matched to MLNX OFED.
For the patched kernel it is easier to only build lustre-client-modules.
You can copy ko2iblnd.ko overwriting the file from lustre-modules. PITA^2.
The HPDD packages do not work OOTB with MLNX OFED due to symbol mismatch.
