I finally found a thread on lustre-discuss about a corrupted last-rcvd file on an OSS.

The procedure to recreate the last_rcvd file is to mount the OST as type ldiskfs, delete the last_rcvd

file (I preferred renaming it just in case), unmount the OST and remount it as type lustre.

Everything is back to normal now.
