Is there any good stress testing software for lustre?
Right now I am just using dd on the clients and seeing how much throughput I am getting
but I was hoping there is maybe something a bit better...
In my experience, dd is useful as a quick test to make sure there is nothing seriously
broken on the client. However, if the client is connected to a fast interconnect, dd may
get bottlenecked by its single-threaded nature. I often use xdd to run multithreaded
tests on a single client. xdd can also be used for multi-client tests, but I usually use
IOR for that (if MPI is installed).
