Brock, You can include an "exclude" to the mount command. Something like: mount -o exclude=<fsname>-OST00XX -t lustre <dev> <dir> After mounting you can manually disable that OST as well. The 1.8 ops manual has directions (section 4.3.13 on the one I have).
