Hi Oleg,
This is because this other lustre tree contains not just the client,
but also the server code .
But the client in the staging area is frozen in the version and features
at a set point in time, so that it could be cleaned up into shape first.
We are feeding fixes and cleanups into it as the results and were asked not
to add any new features.
Thank you for the explanation. My only concern was that suppose I
clean up a certain file in staging tree and send patches that were
actually already applied in the other tree at intel.
I have checked and verified that the part of lustre driver that is in
the staging tree (actually the lustre client driver, according to you)
now, is in sync with the intel tree.
The only problem is this that anyone aspiring to clean up the lustre
driver should be sending patches to both the trees and thus it would
be difficult to keep both the trees in sync.
Regards,
Sakat Sinha
