Hi Hiep,

 

The [-n repeats] means that pcapscan can (optionally) be told to repeat its scan a number of times.

 

You can run it like this:

 

    $ pcapscan –n 10 patterns.txt data.pcap

 

This will compile the patterns given in patterns.txt, then use them to scan the data in data.pcap, repeating the scan 10 times. The data.pcap file must contain captured network traffic in PCAP format, and the patterns in patterns.txt must be formatted like this:

 

    1:/foo.*bar/s

    2:/(abc|def)/

 

… etc.

 

After scanning, the tool will display some simple performance results.
