Whether can numatop display the memory area name?
by Huangmeng (Sam)
Hello,
Whether can numatop display the memory area name? For example below, what’s 32M or 48K name and who allocated this memory?
Some call-chain can be displayed such as below 32M, but some call-chain can’t be displayed such as below 48K, why?
Thanks & B.R.

CPU not supported
by Prince, Timothy C
I built a kernel according to the instructions, which starts up OK (with the important exception of KNC mpss). Numatop says CPU is not supported (dual IVB 12-core Crown Pass platform). /proc/cpuinfo looks OK. Red Hat 6.2 GUI tools show fewer cores than they did under Red Hat, where they didn't see all of them.
I was hoping to shed some light on whether CPU 1 is allocating mostly remote memory.
Thanks,
Tim

numatop shows RMA traffic regardless of the locality
by Tantilov, Emil S
I have been trying to debug a performance issue that seems to be related to cross-node NUMA traffic. When I use numatop it always shows the RMA (remote memory access) counter incrementing regardless of which node I use. I also tested with the included mgen tool and got the same results.
Is this a known issue?
Thanks,
Emil
