Hello,
few months ago I worked on RPi3 w/ Raspbian Jessie Lite, blueZ 5.40, PA 8.0 and ofono 1.18, I configured everything for HFP and it worked!

Now I'm trying to replicate the exactly same configuration... but it doesn't work!
Of course there MUST be a difference, but I cannot find it.

The problem is when I make or receive a call I get no audio (better, I hear more "silence") and in the logs I read:

auth.notice dbus[401]: [system] Rejected send message, 3 matched rules; type="method_return", sender=":1.26" (uid=1000 pid=392 comm="/usr/bin/pulseaudio -v ") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.2" (uid=1000 pid=391 comm="/usr/sbin/ofonod -n ")

I attach the configuration files.
Pulseaudio activates the headset_audio_gateway, and creates the sources/sinks:

$ pactl list sources short
0    alsa_input.usb-C-Media_Electronics_Inc._USB_PnP_Sound_Device-00-Device.analog-mono    module-alsa-card.c    s16le ch 1 48000 Hz    RUNNING
1    alsa_output.0.analog-stereo.monitor    module-alsa-card.c    s16le ch 2 44100 Hz    SUSPENDED
2    bluez_sink.BC_75_74_F0_1A_E0.monitor    module-bluez5-device.c    s16le ch 1 8000 Hz    IDLE
3    bluez_source.BC_75_74_F0_1A_E0    module-bluez5-device.c    s16le ch 1 8000 Hz    RUNNING

$ pactl list sinks short

0    alsa_output.0.analog-stereo    module-alsa-card.c    s16le ch 2 44100 Hz    SUSPENDED
1    bluez_sink.BC_75_74_F0_1A_E0    module-bluez5-device.c    s16le ch 1 8000 Hz    RUNNING

ofono and pa run as user "pi", while bluetoothd (w/ args -E -C) as "root"

Please, would you help me to find what I'm missing here?

Thanks!
Marco
