This is great news.  I’m currently working on changing the UI for PowerTOP, expect to see the changes up streamed in the days to come.  There is a project we can work together. 

I will send you all details in a separate email off the list so that we can start a discussion for your development.  Meanwhile,   I like you to visit https://01.org/powertop/ clone PowerTOP’s repo and start familiarizing yourself with the code. 

Start with src/main.cpp and make your way through the code to find src/report/* files.

Hello people,

My name is Bill and I am third year computer science student. I am looking for a project to work on my final year project and I would be interested to work on power management on linux platforms.

One idea I have about my final year project is to develop a GUI that will make powertop more user friendly and maybe add some more functionality to the source.

Any advices and ideas are more than appreciated.
