[Bug 15029] New: Google Contacts: hard-code CtCaps

The Google SyncML server does not send CtCaps. Therefore our client does not
know which properties it must preserve when importing updated contacts from
Google.
We need a general mechanism for loading hard-coded CtCaps in libsynthesis, then
use it for Google.

[Bug 15030] New: convert all vCard/iCalendar properties into field list, preserve during updates
by bugzilla@meego.com

list, preserve during updates

The Synthesis engine now has support for storing unknown properties in its
field list. It then can regenerate them when exporting again. This allows
preserving arbitrary extensions while merging updates.
Use cases:
* CalDAV/CardDAV, which explicitly requires this
* unknown local extensions (for example, custom QContactDetails)
Need to use this feature. Also need a test which covers it.
Related to this problem is the lack of CtCap information for some SyncML
servers, for example Google. See bug #15029.

BUG DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS
===========================================================
After adding two google-calendar peers, I do sync with google-calendar. My
steps are:
========
1. SYNCEVOLUTION_DEBUG=1 syncevolution --daemon=no google-calendar
This is first-time sync, I did slow sync successfully. 24 calendar are
added.
2. SYNCEVOLUTION_DEBUG=1 syncevolution google-calendar (do it again as normal
sync, with syncevo-dbus-server)
The sync process will hangs at debug info:
[DEBUG 00:00:00] ReadNextMapItem '(none)' + 0 = '(none)' + 0 first=no res=0

[Bug 1133] Maemo 5 Syncevolution GUI daily sync time resets
by bugzilla@meego.com
https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1133
--- Comment #1 from ovek <ovek(a)debian.org> 2011-06-19 18:20:23 UTC ---
Just going to update this report by saying that this behaviour isn't accidental
- it was a part of the design from the start. The program's only knowledge of
the sync time was meant to be the sync job itself, which is stored in the
N900's alarm database. If you disable the job, then the alarm is removed and,
with it, any knowledge of the previous sync time. To enable the job again, a
new time has to be set, and the default happens to be the current system time.
It may be a valid issue, so I don't think I should close this bug, but I'm not
likely to change this anytime soon. Unless, I suppose, someone makes a decent
patch.

[Bug 19470] New: networkmanager 0.9 API has changed (network state)
by bugzilla@meego.com

NetworkManager 0.9 implements the same org.freedesktop.NetworkManager API but
has completely changed the State property values.
NM <= 0.8:
NM_STATE_UNKNOWN = 0
NM_STATE_ASLEEP = 1
NM_STATE_CONNECTING = 2
NM_STATE_CONNECTED = 3
NM_STATE_DISCONNECTED = 4
NM == 0.9:
NM_STATE_UNKNOWN = 0
NM_STATE_ASLEEP = 10
NM_STATE_DISCONNECTED = 20
NM_STATE_DISCONNECTING = 30
NM_STATE_CONNECTING = 40
NM_STATE_CONNECTED_LOCAL = 50
NM_STATE_CONNECTED_SITE = 60
NM_STATE_CONNECTED_GLOBAL = 70
I'll write a patch for setting the HTTP presence value to TRUE when NM state is
[0, 3, 50, 60, 70]. That should cover it: 0 and 50 (link local connection) are
probably not going to work but better to be conservative here.

Start the sync-ui with a clean ~/.config/syncevolution.
It should not show "Google Calendar" and "Yahoo" because these are of the
unsupported WebDAV peerType.
However, I do see these two listed.

false if file1 is missing, bash does not). Check for test case

SyncEvolution 1.1.99.4, installed from syncevolution.org.
Remove/rename ~/.config/syncevolution.
Run sync-ui, "Select sync service", unfold any of the pre-defined services (for
example, "Google").
It shows "Current configuration is more complex than can be shown here. ...",
checkmarks for "send/receive changes to Google" but no list of data categories.
That is a regression compared to 1.1, probably caused by the D-Bus server
and/or its templates, because nothing in the UI has changed.
Here's the D-Bus representation of the template:

There is no "type" property anymore for sources, because it was replaced by
backend/syncFormat/databaseFormat. I bet the UI still checks for "type" to
determine the kind of source.

As mentioned on chat: I'd like to have a fallback for the latest Ubuntu LTS and
Debian Stable.
Whether that fallback is the current libgdbus copy or a copy of the glib gdbus
doesn't matter.
