A set of EDS API changes were designed and implemented to make change tracking
more efficient:

This is expected to land in EDS 3.4.
A first step towards using these extensions was done by Chris Dumez when
adapting the backend to the EClient API in EDS 3.0. Still needs to be merged.
The next steps are using the new calls if they are available.
Need to figure out how to determine and use that in syncevolution.org binaries
at runtime.

Currently SyncEvolutions uses normal HTTP authentication. Yahoo also supports
another, token based authentication mechanism for approved apps. Get
SyncEvolution approved and implement that other authentication mechanism.
Hopefully that'll avoid the 503 error.

Accessing Google Contacts via SyncML is limited by Google's incomplete data
mapping (no BDAY). Accessing via ActiveSync (bug #23773) is limited by the
ActiveSync protocol (for example, only one work phone number).
The best solution probably is a dedicated SyncEvolution backend using the gdata
API + library. Instead of passing serialized vCards between Synthesis engine
and gdata, it should be more like the sqlite demo backend and copy data between
fields directly.

better than accessing Google Contacts via SyncML, because Google's data mapping
via SyncML is very incomplete.

* Find a way to suppress sending of meeting invitations on the CalDAV server
when Evolution already sent one, *or*
