SSL verification is still disabled in google template:
(sync-0.9.0.99.2)
SSLVerifyServer = 0
SSLVerifyHost = 0
Will it be enabled by default?
I'm undecided. If we enable it by default, it will break on non-Moblin
installations with an old libsoup.
Ideally, we'd detect how libsoup behaves at runtime and then change the
default, but that would imply having an Internet connection available each time
the Google template is requested. If that is not the case, should SSL be
enabled or disabled?
Perhaps a simpler solution will be a --enable-libsoup=SSL flag which tells us
that on this distro, SSL checking should be on. This then could be used in
Moblin. Okay, let's do that for 0.9.1.
