You do not even get the "Files in one directory = file" entry? That would be
very strange indeed.
I've got the syncevolution-evolution deb package from your site:

Do I need another package from your site in order to get the actual back ends?
Not from SyncEvolution, it's all one package. But the SyncEvolution EDS backend
needs the right libecal libs.
