Is that still from the gnome-keyring-daemon? Just wondering.

Is there a chance to temporarily log into the server with X forwarding so that
you can see what gcr-prompert is asking for?

You are trying something that has not been attempted before and I am interested
in getting it to work. I hope that once it works, you'll be able to write up a
dedicated HOWTO.
