Just in case these things were not clear (I'm not familiar with handheld stuff
so could be stating the obvious):
A) on the netbook the default keyring does not have a password. This should be
the case in handhelds as well, is it?
B) syncevolution does not require keyring: it can save passwords to a flat file
as well.
... but this is only a compile-time option. The core package from Trunk always
tries to use the keyring. If that failed, we would fall back to plain file, but
it seems that it just blocks instead of failing because of the dialog.
