Well, I built from the source archive
http://downloads.syncevolution.org/syncevolution/sources/syncevolution-0....
and I still get the empty ${PREFIX}/share/doc/syncevolution directory. Also, I
noticed the test/README.* files (describing the limitations of various SyncML
servers) are not included in this archive - why? They are useful.
The binary archive has all the documentation so that's good. I'm just surprised
that building from source doesn't yield the same result.
I'm thinking copying the docs into the installation when building from source
might be a good idea so that package maintainers for distros have a baseline
build process that already includes documentation. Ultimately, this should make
useful information easier to find for end users.
It's more of a judgement call. If the current build behavior is not
intentional, it might make sense to open a separate issue. Since the original
bug for this issue is fixed, I am marking this as verified.
