The situations is this: There is no GTK spinner. We can't use the spinner many GTK apps use because it's GPL. We can't use the gif animation I linked to because the designers have themed the moblin spinner... I've now generated a gif-animation (sync-spinner.gif) from the source spinner images used in the moblin theme. This solution is not ideal (we're not respecting the theming now) and there may also be a problem with the speed not being exactly right. But it does work.
