This is the .deb prepared by Ove for Maemo, right?
Nope, that's the one I got from extras-testing.
But I used to have Ove's before (numbered 0.9, if I remember correctly), and it
had the same problem.
Ove, has Maemo changed such that SyncEvolution needs to be recompiled?
