Yes, with --daemon=no it works fine, thanks.
Maybe my problems stems from the fact that I'm using KDE, not GNOME?
Indeed, the first time I used a --configure command with password I got a
dialog box for the password of my KDE wallet... which I entered.
However, despite this, the syncevo-http-server that I started afterwards could
not get at the syncPassword, and thus the phone could not authenticate to it.
Putting the real password into the .config, rather than - fixed the issue.
So there may still be a bug, namely that (for some reason), this mechanism does
not correctly work in KDE.
