I just set up a config using sync-ui for a Netbook, using the "SyncEvolution
Client" config.
I ended up with a config called "syncevolution client" with peerName set to the
Netbook name.
I suppose the configuration name is derived from the finger print?
I think it would make more sense to start with the peerName. That way a device
"Patrick's Netbook" for which I select the "SyncEvolution Client"
template will
end up with a config name which says something about the device.
I also suggest to replace all special characters with hyphens, to make the
configuration name usable on the command line without quoting. IMHO only
-a-zA-Z0-9 should be preserved.
