What is the name of the icon that should be set here?
Our desktop files mention "Icon=sync". We don't ship a corresponding icon
file
as far as I can tell - is the corresponding icon part of the desktop theme?

Yes this is correct. It actually shouldn't be in the icon theme -- we want to
use the icon elsewhere as well, so there's no need to include it in the theme.
I just didn't figure that out at the time.
I'll push a fix for gtk_window_set_default_icon_name() and then fix the icon
issue.

Fixed with
4d9637b Set application icon (#MB 5717)
This also runs g_set_application_name(). Ideally we should probably reuse the
translation for desktop file and g_set_application_name, maybe even window
title, but unfortunately they are all set in different places... So this is yet
another place to translate "Sync".
I've also added an icon into the repository so things work with themes other
than the Moblin theme:
cd41459 add Sync application icon
I'll ask the theme guys if they want to remove the Sync icon from the theme
now.

Yeah, we now can see sync icon in right-bottom of sync window in zones.
