Just recently during some tests we come across this issue:
It seems that the PICTURE Field is somewhat truncated (wrap) to a fixed size
In the following example;
PHOTO;VALUE=URL;TYPE=PNG:http://mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net/media/img/home/fir...
became
PHOTO;TYPE=PNG;VALUE=URL:http://mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net/media/img/home/firef
ox.png
Attached the original vCard and the same after the synchronization

I tried to reproduce this with a Samsung Galaxy SIII, Android 4.1.2:
- Send to phone via Bluetooth OBEX push.
- Confirm import into system address book on the phone.
- "syncevolution --export - <pbap config for phone>"
=> the PHOTO property is not returned. The phone must have dropped it.
That means that I cannot reproduce the issue here.

How did you create vCard.Synced?
What I am aiming at is this: which software was involved in parsing this vCard
before writing it into the file?
The bug looks like some software parsed vCard 3.0 (as stored in EDS) using
vCard 2.1 encoding rules or vice versa.
--import/export with SyncEvolution and EDS local storage turns the single line
PHOTO;VALUE=URL;TYPE=PNG:http://mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net/media/img/home/fir...
into two lines:
PHOTO;TYPE=PNG;VALUE=URL:http://mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net/media/img/home/firef
ox.png
^
Space at the beginning.
That's okay, but software reading this must be aware of vCard 3.0 line folding
rules.
Can you also check how the phone delivers the contact?
For that you can use "syncevolution --export /tmp/pbap.vcf <pim manager config
name> remote".

I just dumped the DB with:
sqlite3 .local/share/evolution/addressbook/pim-manager-peer10/contacts.db
"SELECT * FROM folder_id"

That should indeed show the vCard exactly as stored. Just to double-check, can
you run "syncevolution --export /tmp/contacts.vcf peer10 local" and attach the
file? The key point is whether it has "ox.png" directly at the start of the
line.
That's very puzzling, I cannot imagine any situation where the Synthesis vCard
encoder would put "ox.png" at the start of a line.
The next step to debug this will to run store the contact again and this time
record more debug information in the sync log. For this use:
syncevolution --delete-items peer10 \*
syncevolution --sync local-cache-slow loglevel=4 peer10
Then attach the latest syncevolution-log.html file under ~/.cache/syncevolution
for the peer10.

It was my fault, I wrongly cut'n paste the vCard
(the space in the beginning disappeared).
I was not aware about the folding rules of vCard 3.0.
I'll fix this in my implementation.
