This is a bug in the kickstart files for Netbook, not a bug in the
SyncEvolution product. Please find the owner and the right component in
Bugzilla and reassign the issue.

SyncEvolution product. Please find the owner and the right component in

As we know, syncevolution will use EDS as backend storage. So, I suggest to
add syncevolution-evolution (evolution backend library) to syncevolution as its
dependent package. What's your opinion?

We continue as planned with QtContacts/KCalExtended and will switch when the
replacement is ready. No further changes necessary at this point.

We continue as planned with QtContacts/KCalExtended and will switch when the

Sorry, wrong bug. But my comment still applies: not all verticals use EDS yet
and therefore adding the suggested dependency on syncevolution-evolution would
break those which don't (Tablet, for example).
It breaks because "backend = calendar" needs to resolve to the "right"
backend
for events. If both syncevolution-evolution and syncevolution-kcalextended are
installed, then it is no longer obvious which backend is meant to be used. The
wrong one would be chosen on at least one platform.

Hi Patrick, I am an intern, involved in syncevolution testing.
For this issure found in pre-test, we have two suggestions.
1. Add syncevolution-evolution as dependency only for Netbook by the related
Netbook distributers.
2. Will EDS be used as backend storage in all verticals such as Netbook, Tablet
and Handset in meego 1.2 images or later. If yes, add syncevolution-evolution
to syncevolution as dependency for all verticals.

Anas, do you know who can get syncevolution-evolution added to the Netbook
kickstart files, or perhaps add it yourself?
QA found that syncing in 1.2 images is broken because that packages is missing.
