I am sorry, I think I do not fully understand that: I am using SyncEvolution on
the N900 to sync with Funambol into a SOGo backend.
In that case, SyncEvolution is used. The comment you quoted is about using
something in the Nokia backend which SyncEvolution/Synthesis don't need.
SyncEvolution sends a base64 encoded photo to syncml server that
actually
contains a "file://" uri pointing to the image file.
That is something that needs to be changed in SyncEvolution.
