After syncing, user will see the sync result summary on GUI. By "Delete all
local data and replace it with remote data" mode (call it "delete local"
for
short), the changes calculation is doubled.
For example, I had 4 addressbook data on the remote service. When using "delete
local" mode to do sync, result is: "last time: Received 8 changes." I
should
receive 4 changes. (does the 8 means: received 4 and delete 4?) This result is
wrong.
By "delete remote" mode, I will get result: "last time: Sent 4
changes.". It is
reasonable.

From command line, we will get status report like "4 added, 4
deleted" on
client.
UI adopts another method to count the changed items, thus it may confuse users
after bug #3314(refresh-from-server: statistics for deleted items) is fixed.

So the GUI follows the Synthesis interpretation of the events, which is "report
operations requested by peer". As part of bug #3314 I changed the value
reported by the progress event to get it compliant with the sync reports.
I'll revert that, because the alternative (changing the string "Received"
into
"Applied" or something like that) is not feasible right now due to the string
freeze.
The question remains: what is the desired output in the long run?

Reverting just the part about the GUI progress events won't help, when I
restart the GUI it shows "Received" with the values as stored in the statistics
(i.e., including the ones made locally).
Any opinions? Should we revert the changes made for bug #3314 in 0.9 to solve
this issue for the time being, then fix 3314 and change the "Received" string
in 0.9.1?

We now get results like "Applied XX changes" after each sync.
Verified in image 2.1 preview 20090929-001 with syncevolution-0.9.0.99.2
