Summary: don't keep log files unless there was an error?
Classification: Moblin Projects
Product: SyncEvolution
Version: upstream
Platform: Netbook
OS/Version: Moblin Linux
Status: ASSIGNED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: *Feature Request
AssignedTo: syncevolution(a)lists.intel.com
ReportedBy: patrick.ohly(a)intel.com
CC: syncevolution(a)lists.intel.com
Even minimal logs are fairly large (120KB, bug #8092). Perhaps we should only
keep logs for sessions where there was an error and for the last session? Code
for this logic could go into LogDir::expire(), see also bug #7708.
For debugging this is not useful, so in cases where the loglevel is larger than
the default (meaning that the user wants to do debugging), we could keep all
logs. I prefer that additional meaning of the loglevel over yet another config
option.
