syncevolution -relocation error-
Submitted by Ralf on 12 February, 2014 - 14:14.
syncevolution will not work. There is an relocation error.
/usr/lib/libsyncevolution.so.0: Symbol SySync ConsolePrintf, version
VER-1.0 not defined in file libsynthesis.so.0 with link time reference
OS: linuxmint 15 Olivia evolution 3.6.4 server funambol 10.0.3
In sync-ui configuration impossible the command gksu syncevolution comes
in terminal without relocation error
Can you help me?
I'm running Syncevolution 1.3.2 under Linux Mint Debian along with
Evolution v. 3.4.4-3.
I'd like to upgrade Evolution to v. 3.8 (namely 3.8.5-2 from Debian
Sid). I have access to another Debian PC with this version of Evolution
which corrects some bugs.
I tried to install Syncevolution (from stable ppa) on this PC. To my
surprise, Synaptic offered me to... uninstall Evolution, no less!
How could I get Syncevolution yo work with Evolution 3.8?
TIA - best regards,

I haven't packaged activesyncd. All I have done is submitted a few
patches to Patrick. Of course, I also build it myself to test those
patches, but I don't build packages.
I note that Patrick does include activesyncd in his
http://downloads.syncevolution.org/apt repository. I don't know who
maintains that packaging (I am guessing it is Patrick).
I would also be very happy if activesyncd could become part of Debian.
I have not looked into that. I am familiar with the debian packaging
tools (from using it in other projects) but not with the debian
processes at all.

Thanks for the info, but I am not going to be able to try it out for a
few weeks (Mobile World Congress owns my life at the moment!).
Well, it turns out that to prevent the Jolla from suspending itself in
the middle of a sync (or more likely, data backup or data diff), I
should send some D-Bus message to the MCE daemon at the start of a sync,
and then keep sending it regularly until the sync is done, at which
point I should send a final message. Here's the interface:
Now where in the SyncEvolution code would it be wise to hook in to do
something like that?
I need to pass some attributes in HTTP Header while connecting to the
server for Auth.
Does Syncevo client support http header addition presently or do i need to
customize the client for this?
