Hi,
You can patch the installed file, usually /usr/share/syncevolution
or /usr/local/share/syncevolution, without having to recompile
SyncEvolution.

Set the loglevel to 4 in the sync config of the phone and try to
send updates to the phone. In the resulting syncevolution-log.html
you'll find dumps of the data and a trace of the script execution.
Look for "generated" in the log, that's what gets send to the phone.
Verify that what gets send looks exactly like the data that comes
from the phone.
I am not sure what caused the irritation - maybe me editing
directly
the vcf-files on the webdav storage.
Anyways at the moment it looks like things are working correctly now,
only akonadi sometimes has a hard time writing to webdav but that is
nothing that syncevolution can change.
