Very interesting idea! This would make a lot of sense for the
libsynthesis case! The #ifdef stuff is not a problem, but some work is
needed to make a TSyncAppBase derivate which can act both as a server
AND as a client.
Enabled features would have to be the same in the client and server
engine for this to work.
Of course, but I see no reason why the options would be different for
server and client on one particular platform.
Let me explore that in a bit more detail to see what implications it
might have.
But basically, I think it would simplify a lot of things, so it's
definitely worth trying!
