Did all patches install cleanly? Just curious.
Perfectly. There was just a missing component, as warned about in the web page.
Otherwise not even the slightest fuzz.

Now the error is about parsing whatever the server returned to us.
You can try with "--run --sync-property enableWBXML=0 --sync-property
loglevel=5" on the command line: disabling binary XML might avoid
encoding problems. Increasing the loglevel enables dumping of these
messages.
The config file (I started from a funambol template) already contains enableWBXML=0.
You will get more than one file; better put them into an archive.
Note that there isn't much we can do about this right now. We are
completely focused on the 1.0 release at this point; testing with
eGroupware will have to wait. Instead of debugging with you as proxy, it
is probably better that we install it ourselves and work directly with
the eGroupware developers.
I understand. I'll try a bit harder and I'll send an archive. I'll scrub it to
remove passwd/etc.
Oh, and if it can help I can create an account on my egw server for you to try. Sadly
there's no debug info (that I know of) server-side.
Thanks,
