This seems to be the same issue that was also mentioned by Sean Hunt
three days ago ("[SyncEvolution] error message SOLVED"): after copying
all contacts from a Nokia phone, sorting in Evolution was different from
before.
In your case, what kind of sorting would you like and what happens
instead?
One of the main issues is simply that depending (I presume) on where the
data originated sometimes names are sorted by first name (as if the
whole name is one field) and sometimes they are sorted (as I expect) by
family name.
E.g. if I enter "Chris Green" into the name field of a new entry in
Evolution it automatically assumes that the *last* name I enter is the
family name and it appears in the File Under box as "Green, Chris".
When I synchronize my E71 with Evolution the handling of first name and
family name is inconsistent, I assume this must be dependent on where
the data was first entered but whatever the reason it makes it a real
mess to sort out.
Another issue is what happens to multiple phone numbers, if an entry has
(for example) two or three 'Home' phone numbers what does Syncevolution
do with them?
