Are you 100% sure that the sync is run in
"refresh-from-client" mode?
Never 100%... but very close. I copypasted the value to the config.ini
and checked a few times. I even ran from command line like this:
$ syncevolution -z sync=refresh-from-client --run scheduleworld calendar
Local data changes to be applied to server during synchronization:
*** calendar ***
no changes
[INFO] calendar: starting first time sync from client
[ERROR] calendar: could not read revision identifier for item
pas-id-419B999600000002-birthday-rid: only refresh-from-client
synchronization is supported
[INFO] calendar: first time sync done unsuccessfully

Synchronization failed,
see /home/ossi/.cache/syncevolution/scheduleworld-2009-11-03-23-20-1/sysynclib_linux.html

The relevant INFO line in my case is:
[INFO] calendar: starting first time sync from client
I get this one, as you see. :)
This is with 0.9 and Evolution 2.26.3
I've created an issue for this, but feel free to respond here.
http://bugzilla.moblin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7759
I'm still awaiting the confirmation for my registration @moblin.org, it
would probably be better to discuss the details over ther in the
bugzilla. (Feel free to tell me to keep off the list if you consider
this inappropriate.)
