Lukas,
it's great to know that my how-to helped you, thats essence of Open
source I guess !!!
It was not possible to accomplish this without excellent support of
Congwu and Patrick. Kudos to them.
I also observed same issues with Calendar sync in Nokia terms which
combines Events and Todos.
This is already documented in following bugs and I hope syncevolution
team will be able to fix this in future.

Any idea how we can sync Notes? This is not even possible via Opensync as
evo2-sync plugin for evolution doesn't seem to support Notes/Memos.
Best Regards,
Suyog

Hi Suyog,
Many thanks for your blog entry and figuring out how to get the
SyncML password for OVI (that's where I got stuck a few months ago
when I tried to test with OVI)!
This was very helpful to be able to try the latest Todo+Cal+Sync (our
iPhone app based on libsynthesis) with OVI.
I could sync all contacts, events and todos, but with mixed problems:
- Contacts worked ok with vCard 3.0 (server path: ./Contact/Unfiled)
- Tasks worked somehow with iCalendar 2.0 (server path:
./EventTask/Tasks). The strange thing is that this datastore
sometimes also contains all events (the same that are also in
./EventTasks/Event), and sometimes even does not stop sending the
same records over and over again (needed to force-abort the session
when the server had already sent 1400 out of a grand total of 50...).
I guess Nokia has never really tested this because they don't need
separate tasks for their own devices, these usually have tasks and
events combined. I tried all sorts of tricks like rejecting events
with status 415, or silently accepting them with 201, but nothing
really worked. This simply seems to be extremely buggy and
unpredictable server side behaviour. Not too surprising, nicely
matches my previous experiences with IntelliSync (which also exists
in the GroupWise and Sun Calendar contexts).
- Events worked only with all-day events with iCalendar 2.0, so I
switched on legacy mode in libsynthesis to force vCalendar 1.0; with
this sync worked ok. I used ./EventTask/Events as server path (it
seems that the manual settings page in OVI has this wrong).
I hope this information might help for further Ovi testing with
SyncEvolution.
Best Regards,
Lukas Zeller
