Wow. That's quite a lot of work for my little pet peeve. I certainly
didn't anticipate this...
For this problem I see 2 basic paths. First (and the one I would take)
would be to make "notifyLevel" per connection and be done with it.
Good things come to those who wait... if you haven't given up waiting,
that is. My apologies for taking so long to get back to this.
A patch implementing the "notifyLevel" as described above is now in the
master branch and will be in the upcoming 1.2.99.1 pre-release of
SyncEvolution 1.3.
I've not implemented the multi-level config handling. It's complex
enough as it is...
