I had future plans to use that via a thin proxy to access the likes of
ToodleDo and Trello. I'll just fiddle with the files instead.
Sounds like the implementation of a backend for these services would be
the better approach. If the choice of C++ as implementation language for
backends is a problem, then let's address that separately.
