do you mean any path that includes the username or just the path that
we access for the first time AND it includes the username?
"first time" and "includes the username". Once we have identified
correct credentials and the corresponding path, reporting 401 would just
be confusing.
IMHO, of course. Google itself even has it in their help pages somewhere
that credentials may have to be entered multiple times although they
were correct.
