Sorry, forget to comment on that. No, 1.1.99.6 is very similar to 1.2
and also should check additional environment variables.
Unfortunately, it does not. Does syncevolution itself read those
variables, or do the libraries on which it depends read them? Or is it
just ltrace going funny? (I've seen a similar thing with strace... that
it stops logging some syscalls after a while)
