Ok, I have also compiled syncevolution 1.1 (make; make install).
If I run syncevolution without argumtns I get this error, repeated several time.
[ERROR] stderr: GConf Error: Failed to contact configuration server;
the most common cause is a missing or misconfigured D-Bus session bus
daemon. See http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/
for information. (Details
- 1: Failed to get connection to session: Did not receive a reply.
Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply,
the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout
expired, or the network connection was broken.)
I attach the output of ./configure
This has nothing to to with compiling yourself. BTW, why do you compile
yourself instead of using the precompiled .debs?
The problem you run into seems to be related to not having a D-Bus
