Hello all,
I have a sync problem with my Nokia n900 running syncevolution to
connect to myFunambol. This worked under PR 1.3 but now after I
new setup the n900 to PR 1.3 the sync process stops and a
message "Synchronization failed" appears although internet
is available.
I tried to uninstall syncevolution and deleted all directories
I could find with "find / -name syncevolution" as well. Then
Then I reinstalled and resetup my account but it failed again.
The Funambol account is OK since Thunderbird can sync with it.
Does someone has a solution for this?

Can you try running SyncEvolution on the command line? Find the existing
configuration ("syncevolution --print-configs"), then use it (probably
"syncevolution funambol").
What error messages do you get?

Thanx Patrick for answering. I deleted the old profile and created a new
one with an simpler name (like you suggested). The error message I
received is attached.

No, not yet. Any help that you could provide would be useful.
If I remember correctly, I had some trouble getting the GUI to create
profiles correctly (or at least editing the profiles the GUI created).
This may have been fixed since, but I chose to use the CLI instead.
The configuration files are in .config/syncevolution, so that would be
where the profiles need to be deleted. I recommend re-creating profiles
with the CLI and using the CLI for troubleshooting, as getting the error
numbers and such is a little less frustrating.
I can't really be of further help though, since we'd need an error
number from the OP to really get anywhere.

SyncEvolution command line invocation:

Kyros, picking any of the sync modes given in the example command line
above would get you back into the normal state where syncing is
incremental. Which mode is preferred depends on your situation, and the
software cannot decide for you. Is there anything that can be changed in
the INFO message to explain the situation better?
Alternatively you can also disable slow sync detection, which has the
same effect as automatically doing a slow sync:
syncevolution --configure --sync-property preventSlowSync=0 funambol
In the context of Maemo and its UI, it probably would be better to
disable slow sync detection for all configs, because most users will
never see this explanation and the UI doesn't have the kind of "recovery
dialog" that the GTK sync-ui offers for handling this case (right?).

thanx a lot for the helpful information!
I could first realize on my n900 a slow sync via terminal command entry
and then with changing the config the sync is successful with the UI
desktop widget as well.
