I looked a bit more carefully:
What it looks like is the other calendar I imported from my N900 via

Birthdays
PC-SYNC
You are using the native SyncML on the N9, right? What kind of calendar
data it uses is outside of the control that SyncEvolution has.
The data in OldPhone ended up in my directory, and then at some
point
when I synced it back it also ended up in the PC-SYNC calendar. An
event in Personal doesn't seem to leave the phone.
That sounds like a bug in the N9's SyncML. If it reads from one
calendar, it also should only write into that.
And I did see an oddness with the sync-ui software. I can't save
changes to the phone configuration without setting a username in the
default/peers/device/config.ini file
That's a known bug:
* GTK-UI: accept service config with a username again (BMC#23106)
Suppressing configs with empty username had undesired side effects:
modifying configs for direct syncing with a device incorrectly
triggered the same error message, without any means of entering
a username. The faulty check was removed without replacement.
A fix is in 1.2.99.1.
