Hi,
I got a new HTC Desire Android phone a few days ago and had to transfer all my
previous phone data to the new phone.
Sony Ericsson w890i worked fine with syncevolution through BT.
Transfer back to Desire with funambol client or thunderbird with funambol client
fails each time with the same symptoms. The mozilla plugin log and the output of
syncevo-http-server are attached:

This points towards an error in the syncevo-dbus-server. How did you
configure the server? Which version of SyncEvolution are you using?
You'll find more information in the console output of
syncevo-dbus-server and in it's syncevolution-log.html that it creates
for each session.

These are not the URIs normally used by SyncEvolution, at least if you
followed the HOWTO:

See section "Setup of Client(s)":
Use http://${host}:${port}/syncevolution as sync URL. The URIs
for the different databases are 'addressbook', 'calendar',
'todo', 'memo'.
Also, on which machine are you running SyncEvolution?
http://localhost:9000 on the Android phone would resolve to the phone,
not the machine with SyncEvolution.

thank you for your fast answer .... I knew there were some information I forgot

I'm on Ubuntu 10.04 and using your official 1.0.1 version.
I configured only a minimal peer:

Both, syncevolution and thunderbird+funambol plugin, are running on my notebook
- no android involved in this. I set the plugin to sync the contacts from DB
addressbook only.
The requested dbus-server log is attached. It says "aborted on behalf of user"
status 20017 but I don't understand the real reason.

The real reason is "TLocalEngineDS::engProcessSyncCmd: SYNC received too
early". There are also warnings about "No command found for status ->
ignoring".
It seems that the Funambol Mozilla Sync Client v1.0b3 client does not
implement the SyncML protocol quite as expected by the Synthesis engine.
I hesitate to claim that the client is broken because I have no time for
further analysis, but how mature is the client? How many servers other
than Funambol has it been tested with?
I suggest that you send client and server logs to Funambol, perhaps they
have time to investigate.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Thunderbird extension was at fault. At
the moment there is no development on it and the version for Tbird 3.x
is not officially released yet. Although some binaries are circulating,
those should not be used unless for development purpose.
Consider also that the thunderbird extension at the moment is looking
for a maintainer because nobody at Funambol has spare time to dedicate

For those not following the Funambol forum, Marco confirmed that the
interoperability issue with the Android client is caused by the client:

unmaintained; he didn't go into details whether it suffers from the same
issue.
