It does (for example, Mobical). Therefore I have reverted to vCard 2.1
as the default sync format and implemented a different approach for
MemoToo:

That fixed the issue with vCards. But the original problem mentioned in
this thread, updates of iCalendar items, still exists. Any suggestion
how to debug this? I already tried with longer delays between syncs,
without luck.
