Well after nearly working as reported before I can't get my Nokia E71
to do anything at all with 1.0beta3 now.
I just get "error = connect failed with error code 104" in the log.

This error code means " Connection reset by peer". Is your phone still paired
and reachable via bluetooth?
Could you set 'loglevel=4' in the config.ini and send your log files to us?

This sounds similar to Dmitry's experience with his Nokia 3500:
sometimes rebooting the phone was necessary to get it to talk again with
the host. Have you tried that?

Yes, I have now, and it does fix the problem. I'm not at all
impressed with the stability of the E71, not recommended, I've had all
sorts of odd glitches with its software.

How about synchronisation via HTTP? There is also an application called
"swim" which can trigger periodic synchronization.

When you say "synchronisation via HTTP" do you mean via the
'cloud'?
If so it's something we want to avoid if possible.

No, syncevolution includes a server. I use the syncevolution git
version it with my E55 for a while, and it works fine one a glitch in
the calendar conversion was fixed by Patrick.

I'm still a bit lost.
So I synchronise my E71 with the syncevolution 'server', then what? Do
I do a separate synchronisation of Evolution with the syncevolution
server?
