Why don't you use the version from synthesis.ch ?
We merge changes back and forth frequently. Sometimes our version is
more recent because we add features and then ask Synthesis to include
them, or we lack behind.
I suspect that you are still picking up an old version from the
synthesis repo.

what is the actual version? i guess the Master-branch, but that looks
wrong.

Why? If you compile the SyncEvolution master branch, then also use the
master branch from the same site.

That is an experimental branch. It works and has a corresponding branch
in SyncEvolution, but that's most likely not what you want.
