This is a new error for me after re-installing my distro and trying my first
sync. Does anyone have some suggestion what the problem might be and how to
sort it?

This error message doesn't ring a bell. Can you describe exactly where
you see it and quote it literally?

This error message doesn't ring a bell. Can you describe exactly where
you see it and quote it literally?
It happens in sync-ui when Session.SetConfig() call fails. It don't
think it can appear when trying to sync, but might when saving the
configuration.
Seán, could you try again but start the app from command line (sync-ui
or sync-ui-gtk should be the name) and paste the warning output from there?
Also, which syncevolution version is this?

Sean told me offline that it happened because of some Bluetooth
configuration issue. He has resolved the problem.
Sean, for the benefit of other users it would be could if you could
write up what the problem was and how you fixed it.
