The only valid use case that I can think of is that a service really requires a specific bearer... why bother otherwise. For that it's fine if connman only takes suggestions, as long as the caller has a documented (hard) way for verifying that it ends up on that bearer and connman provides the necassery information that the app needs to tie to the bearer. E.g. by providing info on which network interface to use.

Ah ok, the API doc didn't mention the service object.
